As the eagle soars above from the bird’s view, it gazes down upon the flatlands of Langkawi island, across the paddy fields that are overlooking the kampong homes of vibrant villagers who are hosting weddings and festive events on this culturally rich island. As the eagle hovers beyond the borders, the costumes donned by women from different nationalities also evolve along with their own distinctive culture and customs.

On this particular segment on Cultural Dresses and Costumes, Langkawi Art Biennale 2016 is open to international women artists to exhibit and parade their unique cultural/heritage dresses.
