I am an artist from Narathiwat Province located in the southern province of Thailand. Born in a Muslim family and raised in a Muslim community. My work is unique as I am a true-blue Thai citizen with artwork consist the aura of Malay world. Probably due to our land relatively close to Malaysia and the community here have been practising the Malay culture for thousands of years.
I’m happy every time I make art. It gives me freedom for thoughts, good internal feeling in and out and provide therapy that give me the sense of relaxation and focus. I am an independent artist. I enjoy working on patterns and precise in every details. My works are strictly technical with variation of styles. I try and do new things as a form of process to improve my work, sticking to the original form.
FAITH series
I convey the impression of the beautiful heart of my beloved grandmother, which represents the strong faith in religion and the belief in the good values that my grandmother guided me when I was a child. I realised the today’s world is full with materialistic struggle, competition and greed for power. I trust religion will lead us to a good life and refrain us from making the wrong turn in life and cause injustice to others. In my works, I repeatedly mentioned the importance of praying 5 times to remind ourselves to good deeds. Every prayer will make us close to God hence give us peace while living in this challenging world.
TRACES OF LIFE
It is a series of works that I experimented with various techniques. The content is still about myself and my family. I conveying them through mixed media art and presented in a semi-abstract way. Table cloths are brought in to present the story of a mother (a widow) who has to face hardships, endure and stay strong, struggle with hope, faith and love, a driving force that continue her living in this real world
STILL LIFE
The Still Life series is a super realistic painting. It has been recomposed into a work that I would like to experiment with a simple form of content. A straightforwardly conveyed to encourage viewers to feel relax, comfortable yet aesthetically unique.
