She was born in Nevşehir-Avanos, where the Fairy Chimneys and Pottery homeland, also called as ‘’Cappodocia’’ is. She worked at Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye in Ankara in 1981 and went on both her education and working. She tended to the painting and graphic design. She graduated from Practical Art and Fine Art at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkiye in 1986.
She has vocational and technical education faculty as she graduated from the Department of Applied Art, as a teacher. She taught painting & graphic design in various schools in Istanbul.
She retired in 2007. She has been going on her artworks in Istanbul , in workshops called Emos & Artwork-Art House in Istanbul. She has been searching and studying on ‘’Basic Design’’ as a textbook which is on the nature of research. The textbook about design consists of the associations from the creative topics of design made by the students.

The artist always pursues the adventures of her own enthusiasm and colours. It is sometimes childish, sometimes the reality of her dreams and sometimes behind the fantastic dreams of natural life. She refers to the reality and the realities beyond reality in her paintings. She sometimes uses lyrical poetic language in her works. She sometimes tries to oblige the audience to chaos and their dream world with her rich imagination. Her works are a combination of metaphysics and the philosophy of modern romance. TOKMAKKAYA names this style ‘’Metaphysical Romance’’ as fantastic processes.
The artist addresses the audience who understand her artistic intentions and will give place their fantasy and imagination to the freelance, colours and texture graphics. In her works she uses colours vigorously. In the press, she is known as ‘’THE QUEEN OF COLOURS.’’
Textures, bubbles, spiral compositions and cosmic backgrounds in her paintings are remarkable. She is performing all her challenging dreams and ideas by creating the subject in her inner depths.
Vibrations driving to the unknown and secret journey and background which consists of colourful tones have been expressed by forcing the imagination. A smooth transition in colours has been provided as if it is provoking the naturalness of the universe. Expressions and themes with light games and bright and shiny graphical vibrations that texture graphics are see-sawing are shown. Dancing figures with passionate love are playing a game with the imagination based on the legends in a changing world. In this game, an everlasting historical struggle and achievement are transforming. In her figures dramatized traces of feminine freedom longing can be seen.
The artist usually works on ‘’nature and woman’’ in her paintings. In addition to these animal figures and especially the themes of fish have drawn attention recently.
