ANGELICO ‘JIK’ VILLANUEVA

Exposed in art since childhood coming from a family of artists. Studied art at a university and worked with his father as an apprentice before finally discovering his very own style.


He started with painting but later veered towards sculpture and produced
contemporary and functional artworks. He liked the challenge of working with three-dimensional art. Softening the look of stiff materials such as wood, marble, stone, and different kinds of metals like brass and copper.
He exhibited his works in various international locations such as New York, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Hongkong, Singapore, China, India, Korea and Peru among many others. He represented the country in several international events, just recently as Art Ambassador for The Art Pivot in Udaipur, India.


He has also participated in art biennales, on-the-spot sculpture making and conducting workshops to further master his craft and to be able to give back for his gift of creativity.
