He hails from Kampung Kumpulan, Langkawi. He was not born into an artistic family, but his passion for this field started back when he was in school. During his university years, his painting activities were momentarily paused to focus on his studies. After completing his education, he rediscovered his love for painting.
Starting in 2001, he became an artist-in-residence at Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi, where he provided interactive batik painting services to every hotel guest. However, in 2020, he made the decision to quit his job and pursue art as a full-time painter. In addition to batik, he also possesses skills in performance art, carving, and mural painting.
He actively engages in community programs, participating in various art events. Among the memorable moments, he was the champion in wood carving competitions in 2009 and 2010, organized by the Malaysian Timber Industry Board, and won the grand prize in the waste material design contest in 2013 at the Frangipani Resort Langkawi.
Currently, he holds the position of Yang DiPertua (President) for LAVAA (Langkawi Artist Visual Art Association), which he has been a part of since 2009. Throughout his time with LAVAA, he has been able to share his knowledge, experiences, ups, and downs with fellow members
