A graduate of Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines College Cebu, his works are his commentary on social and political issues with a view to opening his viewers’ eyes to the lies and truths of our society. His art is not an attempt to document the physicality of any chosen subject but a personal reaction to a given situation or event.Sagayno’s endless experimentation manifest the importance of utilizing one’s creativity without depending on the availability of imported art materials but utilizing what is available and producing art from what would otherwise have been trash. Sagayno is a member of faculty of the Fine Arts department at the University of San Carlos.  He is also an incoming member of Cebu Artists Incorporated.
