Ryu Ilseon graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from The China Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a Doctoral degree & Contemporary Painting from China Central University for Nationalities of Fine Art. An active artist in the art scene, he has held more than 44 solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions with more 400 dozen participating artists. He is the chairman of Asia-Pacific Art Institute, International Art Communication Association, World Peace Art Exhibition of the International Commission, International Federation of Arts, and Byeokam Painting Institute, the Asia-Pacific Art Research Institute. He is also a member of IAA & OFAA. Throughout the years, he has acquired many awards like a gold medal in Creative Cities–Fine Arts Exhibition London in 2012, Beijing International Art Fair, a first prize and gold medal, Shanghai International Art Fair, a first prize and gold medal, U.S. L.A Governor Awards, President Bush Awards and many more. His works had been collected by China International Culture Group Ltd, Central School of Art Gallery, Beijing, China, Royal Museum of Thailand, Laos as well as many foreign countries, private or institutions alike.
