Ridi Winarno was born on February 28, 1965. Since childhood, he has been deeply interested in art and particularly in painting – an activity that has brought him great pleasure. Winarno studied formally at the ISI University of Yogyakarta and continued his training with reputed artists. Painting began as a game for him when he was a child, but eventually it has turned into something more serious. It is still in a way like playing, and it's fun doing so, but now it is necessary to paint from an adult’s point of view. However, childhood is the most important moment for a painter - to explore an incredible artistic world through the eyes of a child. As an artist he expresses what is in his heart through lines and colours. Winarno has exhibited throughout Bali and Jakarta.
