Judith Lui Wai Chu
Born in Hong Kong, Judith graduated from the Fine Arts
Dept. of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1982. She got her MA Degree in
Fine Arts from RMIT University, Australia in 2006. She is now the part-time
instructor of the CUSCS. Lui had been serving the Hong Kong Graphics Society
since 1996, and she was the chairperson from 1999-2009. She curated various print art
exhibitions in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. She was invited to be an artist-in-residence at Guanlan Original Print Base of Shenzhen in 2009. She
received Eileen Chang Painting Competition Jury Award in 2010. Her print works are exhibited and collected
in Germany, Malaysia, Canada, Taipei and various other cities in China. She had
held her solo exhibitions such as "The Adoration of Femininity” in 2012, and “Pursuing
Dreams in this Garden – A 30-year Retrospect of Art Works by Judith Lui” in
2013. She was one of the commissioners for the 2013 Asia Contemporary Print
Exchange Exhibition at Gwongju Museum, Korea.
