Songchai Buachum was born in 1973 at Khonkaen, Thailand. He graduated with Master of Fine Arts, majoring in painting from Silpakorn University, Bangkok and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in painting (2nd Hon.) by the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts from the same university. He is currently teaching as an art instructor there too. He had his solo exhibition in 2007 titled “Realm of Knowledge” at the Meta House, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He is heavily involved in various group exhibitions like the recent Italian - Art-Expo 2013 “Ri-Generazioni da Oriente a Occidente, Thailandia e Ri-torno” held in Massarosa, Italy, 11^th ART CAMP at National Art Gallery in Thailand and Art and Cultural Exchange Program Thai – America Art Exhibition between the year 2012 and 2013. He also received many awards that recognise his potential such as a bronze medal of Mixed Media category in the 46^th National Exhibition of Art as well as an award winner in Toshiba “Brings Good Things to Life” Art Competition held in Bangkok.
