Seah Kang Chui
Seah Kang Chui, born 1945, is the President of the Singapore
Watercolour Society. He is a committee member of Singapore Arts Federation and
Federation of Art Societies in Singapore. He also took the position as chairman
of Bonsia & Artistic Stone Group of Yuhua Community Club.He participated in
the Singapore National Day Art Exhibition in 1971 and from 1986 to 1995, he took
part in the Singapore Teachers’ Art Exhibition organised by the Ministry of
Education, Singapore. He also has participated in various exhibitions in
Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Hong Kong. In 1993, he was
sponsored by SILKAIR to paint the cityscapes of Jakarta. In 1995, Kang Chui’s
artwork was one of the 70 works selected by then President Ong Teng Cheong for
The President’s Charity Art Exhibition – The President’s Watercolour
Selections, an exhibition that took the Singapore art scene into a wider
dimension.
