Loo Foh Sang

Born in Gambang, Pahang on 5 November 1944, Loo Foh Sang was educated at Nanyang Academy of Fine Art in Singapore and the Ecole National Superienre des Beaux Arts in Paris. He spent three years at Atelier-17 in Paris under the mentorship of world renowned Printmaker S.W. Hayter where he mastered the intricacy of the world's leading graphic art form. Since 1963, Loo Foh Sang has held 15 Solo Exhibitions. He actively participated in art exhibitions nationally as well as internationally. He has participated in 54 international prints exhibitions during the past four decades. Loo Foh Sang has organized International Printmaking Exhibitions in Malaysia for three consecutive years since 1996 while lecturing at the art college.

In the year 2000, he was invited into the Jury Panel of the 3rd International Triennial of Graphic Arts, Macedonia, received Honorable Mentioned and became “In House Artist” for Romania Art Museum. In 2009, he received Asia-Pacific Art Golden Award. In 2010, he received Global Golden Brand Award. Loo Foh Sang works in multimedia including oil painting, Chinese Ink painting, calligraphy, printingmaking(etching, silk screen, woodcut and monoprint), sketching among other media. He has produced a large volume of artworks during these forty-five years in the art scene expressing his emotions and feelings towards life. His artworks are in the collections of various international art museums including France, Belgium, Canada, Japan, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Italy, Ukraine, China,
