Rahman Mohamed was born in Johor, Malaysia. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He earned his Master of Science degree in Communications Design from Pratt Institute in New York, USA as well as Master of Fine Art degree in Graphic Design from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. Currently he is an Associate Professor in Graphic Design at the School of Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia. An artist printmaker, Rahman works mainly in etching, collagraph and woodcut. As an artist he participated in numerous art exhibitions since 1975 in various countries such as Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Argentina, Bangladesh, France, United States of America, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Poland. Besides printmaking, he also produces works in digital art and interactive multimedia.
