Born on the 28th of October 1973, Cindy graduated from University of Evansville Indiana, USA in 1995 with a Bachelors of Sc. in Arts (ceramics) and Associate Studies in Business Administration. As she shapes clay around with her hands, the approach is lyrical, spontaneous and whimsical. Cindy transforms clay into a form that enriches creativity. Her hands effortlessly manipulate soft clay into ridges of flowing form, enhanced through the cutting of grooves into its surface. Curving and flexing around the shape being created to capture the light, texture and colours of mother nature, echoing images that reflect timelessness from distant past and instilled from an artist’s point of view.
