With a Bachelor Segree of Arts with Honours in Bengali, Puspita Ray is not just an artist but a writer as well.  She has also published several story books like Purush Jakhan Asahay in 2012 and Biparna Mayder Galpokatha in 2009. Her solo exhibition have been takeing place in Bajaj Art Gallery at Mumbai in 2003 and Academy of Fine Arts at Kolkata for the year 2005, 2009 and 2012 with her recent exhibition held at Taj Bengal Hotel ar Kolkata, which is sponsored by Taj Bengal in 2013. For group exhibitions, she had Ambala, Haryana, Nainital, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, New Delhi in 2003. She also had the opportunity to participate in an art workshop in the 1^st Changzhou China International Art Workshop and Festival 2013 as well as many other art workshops throughout India in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Furthermore, she also won bronze medal by Avantika for All India Paintings Competition and Exhibition held in New Delhi, 2003.
