Thong Udompol is one of Thailand’s most promising emerging artists. Born in 1972 in Chachoengsao, he perfected his technique and completed his Master of Art (major in painting) from Silapakorn University. He addresses Thailand modern society’s evils such as pollution, isolation, materialism, losses of cultural and Buddhist values are the true subjects of his creations. He displays a very mature technique in all his creations, characterised by his focus on fine details and his distinctive short brush. His paintings appeal to a growing number of collectors in Thailand and Southeast Asia who have seen his works in numerous exhibitions during the past nine years. He has also received an impressive number of awards from the Asian art scene.
