Joel Eugenio Epistola Ferraris

Joel Eugenio Epistola Ferraris is the eldest of five children in a family of artists. Born in Iloilo City, he started a trailblazing career in art that inspired his siblings. He took up a degree in B.S. in Architecture at the University of the Philippines while simultaneously continuing to hone his skills in and his love for art. 

His latest works are 6 interactive sculpture sets of public art for SM Sky Garden, SM North Edsa, Quezon City, Philippines. One significant work in this set titled PRISM 24 is the lone sculpture from the Philippines featured (on page 269) in a new book published in Germany in 2011 titled, "500 x Art in Public Masterpieces from the Ancient World to the Present" by Chris van Uffelen. This volume includes selected works by masters such as Michelangelo Bounarroti, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Nam June Paik, Jeff Koons, Ai Weiwei and features the history of public art over 4,500 years of historical eras and styles, including world-famous landmarks such as the Great Sphinx of Giza and the Statue of Liberty.
