Dato’ Haji Mohd Rawi bin Abd. Hamid, Member of the Kedah State Executive Council, in his capacity as EXCO Tourism for the state of Kedah and as State Assemblyman for Ayer Hangat, Langkawi, Kedah, has given his upmost support for Langkawi Art Biennale 2016, to be slated as one of the official international events in Visit Kedah Year 2016 – Schedule of Events. The event will be as follows :

Venue : Langkawi International Convention Centre, Langkawi, Kedah Darul Aman
This biennial event will exhibit the many forms of art, mainly fine art, sculpture and installation art. Participants from 33 countries have confirmed their participation in this extensive exhibition.
He expressed that this event will definitely bring in art lovers from all over the world and within Malaysia. It will be a catalyst to stimulate the tourism industry in Langkawi and Kedah as a whole especially since it is in conjunction with the Visit Kedah Year 2016.
It is also hoped that this exhibition with get the cooperation & support of all parties directly & indirectly involved, to elevate Kedah Darul Aman to the international arena.
